VILLAGE REFUSE, RECYCLING, AND COMPOST Services

Curbside Refuse and Recycling Pickup

  • In Winnetka, refuse and recycling are both picked up on the same day. Check the Village website for more information about what the curbside pickup schedule is for your neighborhood.

Food Scrap Drop-off Program

  • The Village offers six locations throughout Winnetka where residents can drop off their food scraps. You can find the locations and the hours available for drop-off on the Village website.

Specialty Recycling Services

  • The Village of Winnetka also offers non-curbside recycling services for polystyrene (aka "Styrofoam"), large electronics, small handheld electronics, athletic shoes, fluorescent lightbulbs, and holiday lights and cords. Find out more information on the Village website.
